About Our Bank

Columbia County Farmers National Bank (CCFNB) is a full service, nationally chartered financial institution which prides itself on excellent customer satisfaction. It is the single subsidiary of CCFNB Bancorp Inc. Presently, CCFNB provides service to itsī customers through eight convenient branch locations in Columbia County which include:  Benton, Berwick, Bloomsburg, Buckhorn, Lightstreet, Millville, Orangeville and South Centre, which covers a 25 mile market area.

CCFNB was originally formed from two separate banks, "The Farmers National Bank of Orangeville", established in 1917, and "Columbia County National Bank" of Benton. In 1956, these two banks merged to become "The Columbia County Farmers National Bank of Orangeville." In 1983, the name was changed to " Columbia County Farmers National Bank."

Over the years, changes also took place in the landscape of Columbia County as new CCFNB offices opened. In 1970, to better serve our expanding customer base, a branch opened in South Centre Township. Our Main Office in Bloomsburg was opened in 1985. This was followed a short time later by our first Automated Teller Machine, (ATM), at the Bloomsburg Office.

The 1990's brought a great deal of change to CCFNB beginning with the establishment of the Financial Planning Department in January, 1990 now located in the Lightstreet office. During this time, the Lightstreet Branch Office was opened which includes our Operations Center and our Marketing, Accounting, Credit and Training Departments. Also in 1990, CCFNB expanded into the community of Millville by opening a branch office.

CCFNB's success is partly a result of the banks ongoing efforts to discover innovative methods to provide service to its' customers. In March 1997, there was the addition of an Investment Center at the Main Office in Bloomsburg,  which later in 2003 relocated to the Lightstreet Branch along with the Financial Planning Department.  This addition makes investment products available to assist customers in meeting their ever-changing financial needs. Through this center, a comprehensive financial plan may be completed and/or the customer may purchase or sell stocks, bonds, mutual funds, unit investment trusts and annuities.

CCFNB recently introduced its' new Visa® Check Card (Debit Card) to provide more banking convenience and accessibility. This card saves customers time and money. It allows access to your account 24 hours a day by offering balance inquiries, deposits, transfers between CCFNB accounts and easy cash withdrawal. It also eliminates the need to carry checks or large sums of cash, as it works like a check wherever Visa® is accepted.

Telephone Banking (Telebank) was developed and offered to our customers in the latter part of 1998. This new service allows our customers to access their accounts over the telephone. They are able to determine if a check has cleared the bank, transfer funds between their accounts, check balances and more!

The year 2000 brought even more technological advances to our bank.  In an effort to remain competitive in today's marketplace and provide our customers with a high-quality banking experience tailored to their needs, CCFNB began offering On-line Banking to our retail customers in October. Our customers can now enjoy complete and secure access to many banking services such as balance inquiries on all deposit and loan accounts; viewing account statements, including deposits, withdrawals, and cleared checks; transferring funds between accounts; making loan payments; and using our bill payment services to make payments on everything from loans, credit cards, utilities and more. In May of 2001, CCFNB began offering this service to our commercial customers as well. In addition to all of the on-line services individuals can access, commercial customers can also originate payroll, initiate wire transfers, as well as make tax payments.

In January 2001, CCFNB expanded its services once again with the introduction of insurance products.  CCFNB Bancorp, Inc. became 50% owner of Neighborhood Advisors.Neighborhood Advisors is an independent insurance and financial services agency with a dedicated staff and a long history of prompt, courteous service. Our new agency offers a broad product portfolio of property and casualty insurance for individuals and businesses alike.  The agency offers coverage through a choice of several local, regional, and national carriers, providing affordable, competitively priced coverage and the peace of mind that comes from dealing with Bankers, Neighbors and Friends like us.

Please visit Neighborhood Advisors on the web at www.neighborhood advisors.com to learn more about how they can help.  Services offered through Neigborhood Advisors are not a deposit of CCFNB, not FDIC-insured or insured by any federal agency and are not guaranteed by CCFNB.

In October 2004, CCFNB opened a new full service branch within the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Buckhorn, Pennsylvania.  This new branch location not only provides customers with the convenience of an additional branch office with another 24 hour ATM, but has extended hours as well.

On October 12, 2006, CCFNB opened its eighth branch at 1919 West Front Street in Berwick. This branch is in a busy retail traffic area and provides opportunities to build new customer relationships in the Berwick area.  The branch offers all of the traditional banking products, two convenient drive-thru lanes, safe deposit boxes, a night deposit drop-off and a 24-hour drive-up automatic teller machine.

For over 85 years, our directors, officers and employees have been committed to serve our customers in an honest, caring and friendly manner which creates the uniquely appealing way that CCFNB conducts business. Although CCFNB has grown from its' one office in Orangeville, to eight offices throughout Columbia County, it is proud to remain a locally owned bank that can respond promptly to the ever-changing needs of the communities it serves. The employees of CCFNB are looking forward to the future with anticipation of additional community involvement and continued growth.
